01 What the extension does

TabNest saves and organizes your browser bookmarks with live website previews displayed in a visual grid. It stores your bookmarks and folders locally in your browser and renders live iframe previews of saved pages.

02 Data we store

TabNest stores the following data locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local:

Bookmark entries (URL, title, favicon URL, folder assignment, creation timestamp)
Folder names and order
UI preferences (grid column count, active folder)

All data remains on your device and is never transmitted to external servers.

03 Data we do not collect or sell

We do not sell personal information.
We do not transmit your bookmarks or browsing data to any external server.
We do not include third-party analytics, fingerprinting, or tracking SDKs in the extension code.
We do not collect usage statistics or telemetry.

04 Permissions and why they are needed

Permission	Reason
`storage`	Persist bookmarks and folders locally in your browser.
`activeTab`	Read the current tab's URL and title when saving a bookmark.
`declarativeNetRequest`	Remove `X-Frame-Options` and `Content-Security-Policy` headers so bookmarked pages can be previewed inside iframes.
`host_permissions: <all_urls>`	Apply header-removal rules to any URL you bookmark. No page content is read or sent anywhere.

05 How iframe previews work

When you view your bookmarks, TabNest renders live iframe previews of each saved page directly inside the extension's tab. The header-removal rules run locally in your browser to allow pages to be framed. No page content passes through any server controlled by TabNest.

06 Ad network content

TabNest may display ads from third-party ad networks (e.g. Google AdSense, Media.net). These ad providers may set their own cookies or collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies. TabNest does not control or have access to data collected by ad providers.

07 Data retention and control

You are in full control of your data:

Delete individual bookmarks or entire folders at any time from within the extension.
Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data per Chrome's standard behavior.

08 Policy alignment

This policy is intended to align with Chrome Web Store transparency and user-data disclosure expectations.
